Anchorage

On Wednesday Margaret set up a tour of Anchorage on Segways. I took a Segway tour last summer of the Chicago lakefront and had a blast. I knew that the girls would have a great time toodling around Anchorage on these fun wheels. Unfortunately, staying on a Segway does not give you opportunites to take pictures since riding with 2 hands on the controls are highly reccommended. We made a stop to see the Eisenhower Memorial.

Then our wonderful guide Alan volunteered to take a picture of all of us on our Segways. Alan is a Special Ed Teacher in Anchorage who owns this business as his summer job.

After the big Anchorage tour we went to the Beartooth Theatre Pub for a movie and lunch. These establishments are abundant in Portland but we really need one in Tacoma. It is such a treat to watch a movie, get served lunch and have a nice, cold beer. We saw the original Back To The Future which was fun to see on a big screen again.

But our excitement wasn't over for the day .... No, not by a long shot. We went to Margaret's Sister Laura's house for dinner and met the infamous Alastar and Kieran, the 5 year old twin nephews. Eli, these two would give you a run for your money. They have a trampoline in the backyard that they love to play on. They especially love to get Aunt Margaret out on the trampoline with them.

Kieran is the red blur and Alastar is the yellow blur.

Now the game is "let's bounce so hard that Aunt Margaret falls over".

Nahhhhh, it's much easier to jump on Aunt Margaret and knock her over. Margaret is such a trooper. And a good sport to allow me to post this very complimentary view of her on the blog.
