Finally!

It was a long summer for poor Jason across the street. Earlier this summer Jason took out his lawn (after a fertilizer disaster). Since then he spent most of his weekends in the front yard. First, it was tearing out the old yard. Next, was hauling dirt, picking up rocks, spreading dirt. Then came the digging and trenches for the irrigation system. That was a job. Next, more dirt moving and dirt flattening. Which brings us to today. The sod was delivered.

He did such a nice job, maybe I'll get him to replace my lawn next summer.

Too, too Wicked!!!

It all started with Galinda (that's Ga-linda) floating in on her bubble (you know that not everyone can travel by bubble). My all time favorite musical had begun. Lucky for me, Jason had met someone in the touring cast and he got us tickets to last Sunday's performance. But then that wasn't good enough for Peter and I. We had to go back tonight for seconds.



Meagan Hilty who played Glinda the good was my favorite and I am still singing the song Popular today. She had the best part and boy did she do great things with it. I was totally Galindified, toss, toss.



And to see the Emerald City, in the Emerald City. Magic!



Shoshona Bean did a great job with Elphaba. Did you know her name came from the author of the original Wizard of Oz books, L, Frank Baum (L-Fa-Ba)? Too cool. I could tell you all of the fabulous lines, but that would ruin it for you. But I will tell you that my favorite line included a reference to the most perfect of green vegetables.





There's no place like home!

Bon Voyage Tracy & Robert

They're leaving us ... sigh. Tracy and Robert are moving to Louisville Kentucky. They are loading up the car (with Morgan the cat on board) on Thursday and putting the pedal to the metal.



Well what can you say about good friends. Who knew when I spotted Tracy in his first spin class (huffing and puffing I can say) that within a short time, he and Robert would become important part of our lives. We wish them all the luck in the world and warn them that we will stay in touch. And you just never know when we will head out to Louisville for a visit.



It was a full house on Monday night for their departure. And as always there was lots of laughter to go around.



Tiffany and Derek stopped by to say their good byes too.



Of course, Katie tried to convince Tracy not to leave. But she rarely wins a wrestling match with Tracy. And Tracy never gives up his Stella Atrois.

Happy B day Petey

Happy 45th B day Petey!!! Wow, 45, not only a record speed anymore. Look on the good side, you are one step closer to the seniors early bird special. Yum! Hunny, none of us think that you are getting older, just better.



On the much younger end of birthdays, Derek was being particularly photogenic. He is really on the move now. Walking is not far away (look out Ric and Tiffany).

Doin' the Puyallup

The last time I went to the Puyallup Fair was .... errrr .... Oh, I don't know how long ago. Until this year I have never made it to the opening day and the cattle run that starts off the parade down Main Street. Now this looks like Puyallup traffic if I have ever seen it.



I got to go with the kids at school. And after they had their fill of Fair food, we headed over to see the animals. The cows were of particular interest. This one wasn't really sure about us, but she did pose for this picture nicely.



Another highlight was the Hobby Hall. That is where they show off the collections of locals. This is a picture of a collection of over 190 pens, the pride of one of our very own students. Actually this is just part of her stash. She always has number of pens from the rest of her collection that she is willing to show to anyone who is interested.
