A Must See!

Its been a fun Sunday of discoveries. First, Rob & I went and saw the new movie Capote. WOW! What an intense movie. Phillip Seymour Hoffman was mesmerizing as Capote & definitely deserves the Oscar for his performance. If you are tired of brainless movies, treat yourself to this one quick before it disappears from the theaters.

After all of that work watching the movie, Rob was hungry (such a boy). So where to go for dinner? Even though I live in Tacoma & have eaten out in Tacoma more than 100 times, picking a restaurant is always a quandry. So we decided to drive down 6th Ave for inspiration. And there it was, Asado. I have been watching the brown paper over the windows since the summer. Looked open so we decided to check it out. Ohmygosh, so very glad that we did. It was FABULOUS. Created by some of the talented people who were at El Gaucho has done it up right. They just opened on Friday and by the time we left tonight the place was packed. On a Sunday. In Tacoma. Great variety of food that all tasted marvelous. A little pricier than the average, but not as high as El Gaucho. Well worth the price. Jessica, if you are reading this, Asado has great steaks! I have braved new restaurants in Tacoma & most have food or service issues even after being open for a month. Asado was perfect on day 3. You can tell their staff was trained in the El Gaucho way. Very attentive without being irritating. They make you feel very well cared for.

Capote & Asado, a great way to end a 3 day weekend.
