Showcase Tacoma

Tacoma School of the Arts, in partnership with Metro Parks sponsor Showcase Tacoma in the summer. It's a festival of art, in many forms, with food & beverages on the side. Some of the best of the free art are the sideway drawings by SOTA students.

We ran into Jimmy Gosselin as he was firing raku pots. M Space was also in attendance demonstrating the art of glassblowing.

And who is this? Could it be one of the stars of the motion picture hit, "South 5"???? Yes I do believe it is, Mr. Mitch Robinson. Hey Mitch, how's that sequel coming along???

The weather was great as we sat in the beer garden, overlooking the main stage and some very talented Cambodian dancers.

Paul was hard at work all weekend long (except for the frequent breaks to the afore mentioned beer garden) running sound for the dance performances.

Tacoma looks pretty nice from this vantage point on a sunny, summer afternoon.
